ASTA: Scaling Up in the Heart of India’s Power Hub

ASTA is set to strengthen its presence in India with a new production line at its Vadodara facility.

The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality copper conductors for the transformer industry. Established in 2007, the Vadodara plant has been supplying copper solutions to India and other Asian markets, particularly in the high-voltage sector. The new production line, scheduled for completion by mid-2027, is part of ASTA’s broader growth strategy following its IPO and will enhance capacity to serve OEM customers, including GE Vernova T&D IndiaKarl Schäcke said, “With the Vadodara expansion, we are advancing our ‘Local-for-Local’ strategy to sustainably benefit from India’s rapidly growing energy infrastructure market, while enhancing local supply for major projects in high-voltage direct current transmission.”
